Athos monks tell when the war in the east of Ukraine will end

"It depends on our prayer, on our repentance, there are many different factors that will contribute to this, we, on our part, should pray, zealously pray for peace, and this should be our daily prayer, for the sake of peace," said the elder monk Paisii.

Elder hieromonk Chrysostom stressed that people should not mourn the fate and grieve that they are unhappy, sick or infirm. "Christ does not want us to be unhappy, destitute, defeated, frightened, desperate or distressed. He does not want our looks to evoke pity and sympathy," said the monk.

We must have faith, strength, courage, hope, patience, perseverance and struggle," said hieromonk Chrysostom, who said that Christ taught people not to give up, not to lose heart, not to worry and panic. Elder hieromonk Chrysostom studied at the Theological Academy of Thessaloniki.
