The military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the war zone expressed gratitude to Metropolitan Nicholas of Kremenchuk and Lubny and the clergy of the Kremenchuk Eparchy of the UOC, reports the UOC Information and Educational Department.

"On behalf of the command and personnel of the military unit T*, thank you for the support of our officers and soldiers, which, with your blessing, is provided by the clergy of the eparchy entrusted to you," the letter of thanks published on 17 January 2023 on the website of the eparchy, to Metropolitan Nicholas from a lieutenant colonel of one of the military units of the AFU reads.

"We, carrying out tasks on assignment directly in the combat zone, understand how big a role clerics play in the Ukrainian Army because spiritual care is an important component of the moral and psychological support of personnel, without which it is impossible to achieve success at the front, even with a powerful material and technical resource," the military state.

According to them, "it is most valuable when a priest tries to support the army not only spiritually".

"For the cooperation of your clergy with the military to develop effectively in the future, I wish you good health, inner peace, inspiration, vigour, success in your pastoral mission, harmony in the flock, and God's help in serving the Ukrainian people!" wished the AFU military clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

It was noted that Metropolitan Nicholas, clergy and believers of the eparchy do everything possible to help the AFU and people affected by the war. Together with the parishes, they are constantly collecting aid in the form of food, clothing, medicine, tools, etc.

"This is the thanks to everyone who is doing everything possible and impossible for our native Ukraine to bring our victory closer as soon as possible!" commented the eparchial press service.

As reported, Archpriest Konstantin Maslov of the Kremenchuk Eparchy, a supervisor of sorting and logistics of refugee and warrior aid, the rector of the Church of St. John the Warrior in Kremenchuk, received a commendation from the commander of military unit A7311 Vadim Protsenko.
