Since April 6, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has tightened quarantine measures, banning all public events in Ukraine.

On April 2, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in the framework of the fight against coronavirus, decided to ban all public events, including religious ones, on the territory of the state until April 24. The text of the decision is published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The 7th paragraph of the resolution “On preventing the spread of acute respiratory illness COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus” in Ukraine says that “all mass (cultural, recreational, sports, social, religious, advertising) and other) events are banned”.

What the word "mass" stands for is not specified in the document. It is also not said whether services can be held at all.

Recall that Easter in 2020 falls on April 19th.

As reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers banned worship services involving more than 10 people, and the President of Ukraine V. Zelensky said that the authorities are preparing a project that will help celebrate Easter at home during the coronavirus quarantine, "without gathering crowds in churches".
