As reported by Artem Dmytruk on his Telegram channel, after the seizure of St. Michael's Cathedral in Cherkasy, around 20 people sought medical help at City Hospital No. 3 with severe injuries, including concussions and fractures.
By order of the chief doctor, Oleksandr Fedoruk, the hospital staff did not allow the believers to enter, closing the doors on them.
According to Dmytruk, following the events at St. Michael's Cathedral, an elderly monk, Nektarij, was hospitalized with neck and head injuries. Meanwhile, a priest, Dionysiy, who was beaten by the attackers with sticks and chairs inside the church, was denied admission. Metropolitan Theodosiy, who was injured while defending the cathedral, was forced to treat himself at home despite the severity of his injuries.
In total, around 20 believers with serious injuries were compelled to seek care at private medical facilities. Citizens who could not afford treatment in clinics approached state hospitals privately.
Dmytruk reports that the chief doctor of City Hospital No. 3, Fedoruk, had previously denied medical assistance to parishioners of the Nativity Church, who were beaten by fighters of the Azov Regiment.
"This is a criminal who could cause the deaths of people – children and women. Such a person does not belong in a position of authority but in prison!" the MP stated on his Telegram channel.
Ukrainian MP Dmytruk promised to prepare appeals to the heads of security agencies, the ombudsman, the Prime Minister, and the leadership of the Rada demanding an official investigation into the actions of the chief doctor of City Hospital No. 3 in Cherkasy, Oleksandr Fedoruk.
"All those who are failing to do their jobs today – you're all accomplices in a terrible crime against the Ukrainian people!" Dmytruk concluded.
As previously reported, UOJ followers showed how church raiders seized the UOC cathedral in Cherkasy.
