The meeting, which was attended by 472 clerics of the Kyiv diocese, was chaired by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl, abbot of the Kyiv caves Lavra, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, Chancellor of the UOC, vicar bishops of the Kyiv diocese, the clergy of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, abbots and abbesses of monasteries, representatives of the laity.

Before the start of the meeting, His Beatitude Vladyka, together with all those present, offered a prayer for the clergy of the Kyiv diocese who died in 2022.

The Primate began the work of the meeting with a report on the life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Kyiv eparchy in the outgoing year.

His Beatitude Vladyka spoke about the ministry of the UOC in the conditions of war and the changes in the life of the UOC after the May 27 Council. In particular, the Archpastor reported on the preparatory work for the chrism-making in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and the opening of parishes of the UOC abroad.

The primate expressed the hope that the decisions of the Council in Feofaniya would be implemented by everyone and "obedience to the Church would become a prerogative over one's own consideration."

Metropolitan Onuphry reported on the social service of the Church in the Kyiv region, in particular on assistance to the defenders of Ukraine and those who suffered from the hostilities. The archpastor spoke about personnel changes in the diocese and provided up-to-date statistics.

At the end, His Beatitude answered numerous questions from the members of the congregation about church life and the ministry of the UOC. The meeting ended with a group photo and prayer.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Primate led the episcopal consecration to the position of Bishop of Drohobych.
