The feast of Pentecost is special, this is the birthday of the Church of Christ. This was said by the chancellor of the UOC, Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary on June 4, on the Day of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity before the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, reports a UOJ correspondent.

"Today's feast is special. It even has several names: the Day of Pentecost, the Day of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity and the Day of the Descent of the Holy Spirit to the holy apostles.

The Lord Jesus Christ by his Resurrection saved the human nature that he took upon himself through the Incarnation, and through the Descent of the Holy Spirit to the apostles the Holy Spirit saves, transforms, renews every person who is in the Church of Christ.

Today is the birthday of the Church of Christ. And the salvation of man is possible only in the Church of Christ.

He who has separated from the Church receives death, not physical, but spiritual, the most terrible thing that can happen in human life. Today, even the vestments of the priests speak of the fact that human life is being renewed," said Vladyka.
