UOJ registers a new legal entity in Europe

The Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) has officially registered as a legal entity in a European country. From now on, the agency’s journalistic activities will be carried out under the name of this European organization, including the submission of information requests to European human rights organizations. All UOJ staff will gain the status of European journalists, strengthening their positions and expanding their opportunities to objectively cover events in the Orthodox world.

This step marks an important milestone in the development of the agency, aimed at ensuring freedom of speech and the independence of journalistic activity. Registration in Europe will enhance UOJ’s cooperation with European partners and organizations.

We will continue to inform our audience about key events in the Orthodox world, adhering to the principles of objectivity, reliability, and professionalism. This new registration provides additional opportunities to protect journalists’ rights and ensure their safety amid contemporary challenges.

It is worth recalling that in 2019, UOJ received the prestigious Prince Constantine Ostrogski Foundation Award in Poland and was honored with a medal for its contribution to the development of Orthodox journalism and objective reporting on church life in Ukraine.
